Kawasaki unveils all-new 2023 Ninja 650 KRT Edition equipped with traction control.

Kawasaki

For 2023, the Ninja 650 will get Kawasaki TRaction Control (KTRC), an innovative traction control system from Kawasaki that enhances sport riding performance which gives riders the confidence to navigate slippery areas. Riders can choose between two modes to best suit their riding environment and preferences while the system analyzes a number of parameters to provide an accurate real-time picture. Mode 1, was created with sport riding in mind and aids in managing traction during cornering. By boosting the forward drive from the rear wheel, this mode makes it easier to accelerate out of curves. When significant wheel spin is detected in Mode 2, intervention happens earlier, which means the engine output is decreased to allow grip to be restored. This aids drivers in navigating hazardous sections of road or wet pavement. Riders can also choose to disable the system.

2023 Ninja 650 KRT Edition is powered by a 649cc parallel-twin engine  producing 68 PS and 64 Nm of peak torque coupled with a 6-speed transmission. Middle weight Ninja’s lightweight chassis delivers smooth and agile handling that is both sporty and versatile. Equipped with 4.3” all-digital TFT color instrumentation and twin LED headlights adds to the sharp styling and premium feel of the Ninja.

The Ninja 650 is available in Metallic Matte Graphenesteel Gray / Ebony or Pearl Robotic White / Metallic Matte Flat Raw Graystone. The Ninja 650 KRT Edition modeled after the Kawasaki Racing Team is available in Lime Green / Ebony.
