The bold new Streetfighter V2 and the top-of-the-line Streetfighter V4 SP are the latest additions to Ducati’s Streetfighter lineup. Ducati World Première episode four reveals all the details about the two motorcycles, including pricing and specifications.
The new Streetfighter V2 is a unique sporting naked with a unique personality. It meets the needs of riders looking for a bike that combines the athletic DNA of the Panigale V2 with the attitude and style of the acclaimed Streetfighter. The streetfighter V2 is essentially a Panigale V2 powered by 955 cc Superquadro twin 153 hp at 10,750 rpm and 101.4 Nm of maximum torque at 9000 rpm.
The Panigale V2 engine and the Streetfighter V2 engine share an exhaust system, which was created fully beneath the engine. On the right side, a new, tiny silencer appears. 62 mm oval cut throttle bodies are independently controlled by the Ride-by-Wire system. The all-new Streetfighter V2 is designed for maximum comfort and sportiness while riding. The Panigale V2’s handlebar risers are replaced by high and broad aluminium handlebars. This bike is now even more comfortable thanks to the bigger saddle and additional cushioning. The footpegs have also been adjusted to provide for more space.
The Streetfighter V2 is equipped with a die-cast aluminum monocoque frame with the Superquadro engine as a stressed member, 43 mm Showa BPF front forks at the front are fully adjustable and at the rear features fully adjustable Sachs unit.
The Streetfighter V2 is not short on high-end electronics; it inherits the Panigale V2’s 6-axis inertial platform connected to 4.3” full-TFT display. By default, each control’s operational settings are associated with one of the three Riding Modes (Sport, Road, Wet). Equipped with an anti-lock braking system, Ducati Traction Control derived from MotoGP, Ducati Wheelie Control to maintain control of wheelies while maximizing acceleration easily and safely, Ducati Quick Shift with up/down function for clutch-free downshifting, and Engine Brake Control to optimize bike stability in extreme turn-in conditions.
LED headlights with Daytime Running Light are standard on the new Streetfighter model. LED lights at the rear are divided into two sections: one that flashes when you brake suddenly, and another that lights up as you slow down. LED turn signals are used for both the front and back of the vehicle.
Additionally, the Ducati Multimedia System (DMS) of the Streetfighter V2 allows the rider to accept incoming calls, select and listen to a music, and get SMS notifications using Bluetooth technology. The rider’s helmet earphones receive call audio and music, which is then played through the headphones. The DMS is available as a plug-and-play attachment from Ducati Performance.
The muscular Streetfighter V4 serves as a design inspiration for the Streetfighter V2. As a result of the design’s simplicity, it stands out from the crowd. The sculpted lines from the nose to the tail emphasize the structural elements and represent the specific characteristics of the sports nude. The Streetfighter V4’s biplane wings provide 28 kg of downforce at 265 km/h.
Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV rubber covers the 5-spoke wheels, and Brembo M4-32 monobloc radial calipers with 320 mm diameter discs provide the stopping power.
