Renault showed 4ever Trophy, electric version of it’s iconic Renault 4 at the Paris Motor Show.

In the past 60 years, the Renault 4 has sold more than 8 million units in 100 different nations. After the Renault 5 Prototype, the 4EVER Trophy Concept Car is the second enduring design to receive an electric facelift.

New and nostalgic recollections are both evoked by the Renault 4EVER Trophy concept car. The styling similarities to its 4L forerunner are visible behind a robust exterior. The primary characteristics of the original automobile have been brought back:

The silhouette is easily recognizable thanks to the outsized bonnet, bumper, and distinctively slanted rear part. Just above the back wheels are the rear, trapezoidal side windows with their rounded corners. The front flanks are unadorned. The wings extend through the shield and are perched atop the wheel arches.

“The 4L is a legend. And legends never die! Today, it is this universal dimension of the 4L, a car that everyone can love, that we want to find through a modern and electric reinterpretation of the Renault 4.”
Luca de Meo, Chief Executive Officer of RENAULT S.A

The low section of the 4EVER Trophy, which is coated Gun Metal Silver, was designed for outdoor expeditions. The radiator in the middle of the shield is given a big air exhaust coming from the hollowed-out bonnet, which greatly increases its effectiveness. For improved clearance capacity, the front overhang has been significantly reduced. The concept is equipped to handle any situation with a spare tire on the carbon fiber roof and a shovel and waffle boards on the upper half of the back door.

The battery is positioned in the centre of the chassis and is better protected by the electric concept’s reinforced underbelly and 20 cm space around the wheel arches.

In order to adjust the tyre pressure to the terrain, 4EVER Trophy includes visible compressors on each wheel that are easily adjustable from inside the vehicle.
