The flagship hyper-naked roadster Brutale 1000 RR from Italian exotic motorcycle manufacturer MV Agusta has been updated for 2023 with improvements to the engine, chassis, and electronics.
The motorcycle’s 998cc, inline-three-cylinder, liquid-cooled, Euro5-compliant engine continues to produce 208 horsepower at 13,000 rpm and 116.5 Nm of peak torque at 11,000 rpm. With a contoured fuel tank, a single pod headlight, LED illumination, and a sophisticated electronics suite, the liter-class motorbike maintains its distinctively muscular appearance.
The engine upgrade, where the in-line engine of the new Brutale has a balancing shaft rotating at twice the rate of the crankshaft, is the most significant. With values falling by 54%, the counter-rotating crankshaft in the redesigned crankcase rotates at twice the crankshaft’s speed. This has an impact on high-frequency secondary vibrations. Less vibration has genuine advantages for the seat, handlebars, and footpegs’ comfort as well as for the mirrors’ improved visibility.
The new engine features DLC valve tappets and titanium radial valves. The management of torque, traction, and launch control has been upgraded for 2023 models.
The hyper-naked is equipped with hydraulic Öhlins Nix EC inverted forks up front and an adjustable Öhlins EC TTX mono-shock at the rear. Brembo Stylema four-piston calipers with 320mm discs at front and a Brembo two-piston caliper at the rear makes braking effortless. The Continental ABS with cornering function further improves safety of riders.
Updated electronics suite with a six-axis IMU include multiple ride modes, quick-shifter, lift control, launch control etc. Vital information is fed to the rider via a 5” color TFT display equipped with smart phone connectivity.
2023 MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR is offered in Nardo Grey / Matt Metallic Dark Grey, Ago Red / Matt Metallic Dark Gray color choices.
