The BMW R nineT roadster is produced by the German manufacturer BMW Motorrad since 2014. The retro-style roadster pays homage to BMW’s iconic motorcycles of the past while incorporating modern technology and performance.
The R nineT is powered by an air/oil-cooled 1,170 cc boxer twin engine that produces 110 horsepower and 86 lb-ft of torque. The bike features a steel tubular frame, a telescopic fork front suspension, and a single-sided swingarm rear suspension. It also has a dual-disc front brake system and a single-disc rear brake.
The R nineT has a distinctive retro style, with features such as a round headlight, a large fuel tank, and a simple, uncluttered design. It has been praised for its excellent handling and ride quality, as well as its customizable nature, which allows riders to modify it to their liking.
Custom builder JSK Custom Design has crafted an awesome scrambler out of BMW R nineT dubbed Project Chocolate slider. Custom R nineT is equally capable on streets as well as dirt roads. The exhaust is positioned high over the valve covers to tackle extreme ride conditions while negotiating dirt, water and rocks. The thermo wrapped exhaust pipes are equipped with carbon fiber heat shield.
