Swedish hypercar manufacturer Koenigsegg’s latest hypercar Gemera is powered by a 3-cylinder engine instead of a heavy duty V12.
The prototype unveiled during 2020 Geneva International Motor Show is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged in-line 3 cylinder engine rated at 600 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque paired with Koenigsegg’s three Quark electric motors each generating 335 hp and 486 lb-ft of torque. Electric motors are fed by a 15-kWh battery pack. The hybrid prototype has a top speed of 399 Kmph.
The four seater hypercar features dihedral synchro-helix doors, an in-house technology allowing the doors to outwards and upwards at the same time at the touch of a button.
