The new 600 horsepower 2022 NSX Type S enhances the already remarkable performance of the cutting-edge electric supercar by delivering quicker acceleration, sharper cornering, and a more passionate driving experience than any previous road-going NSX.
With a high-output twin-turbo V6 and torque-vectoring Sport Hybrid SH-AWD® three-motor hybrid system, the second-generation NSX drivetrain generates 600 horsepower and 492 lb-ft of torque. The ratio of the Twin Motor Unit (TMU) that drives the front wheels and offers active torque vectoring has been decreased from 8.050:1 to 10.382:1. This 20% lower ratio enhances off-the-line torque, giving the NSX a potent start.
The 9-speed dual-clutch gearbox (DCT) in the NSX Type S has been fine-tuned for even better performance. There is a brand-new Rapid Downshift Mode, more aggressive automatic downshifting, faster upshifts in Sport and Sport+ modes, and a higher rpm threshold for downshifts in Track mode.
