Dodge on Wednesday unveiled fully electric version of its iconic charger muscle car – the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT “Banshee” concept.

The name “Banshee” is familiar to GTA game enthusiasts as it has a Banshee muscle car based on Dodge Viper SRT. The electric muscle car has exhaust note!!! yes very loud and similar to the Hellcat V8 on full throttle.

The retro modern muscle car-based future cars will replace the conventionally powered Chargers and Challengers currently offered by Dodge. The prototype is equipped with several patent pending features such as eRupt – the multispeed transmission with gear shifting experience, Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust – the exhaust producing fake sound by using an amplifier tuner at the rear of the car and finally the R-Wing – a large opening at the front to channel incoming air thereby improving the aerodynamic characteristics.

The prototype is powered by Dodge’s 800-volt Banshee propulsion system which allows fast charging and better cooling of the motors. The Daytona SRT concept will be powerful enough to beat it’s Hellcat brethren in terms of acceleration and top speed.
