When it comes to sheer horsepower, the BMW Concept XM is unrivaled. All the high-performance touches you’d expect from the M brand, plus the smooth, silent ride of an electric vehicle—that’s Concept XM.

The BMW Concept XM’s M Hybrid drive system is comprised of a potent electric motor and a high-powered V8 engine, producing a total of 750 horsepower and 1,000 pound-feet of torque. The drivetrain allows for a maximum theoretical all-electric range of 80 km.

Splitting the headlights into two separate units is an ingenious idea that really makes them stand out. The upper module’s signature daytime driving light stands out due to its slim profile and meticulous design. The horizontal kidney grille is placed in a brash manner between the headlights, and it tapers towards the outside borders, giving the front fascia a nearly octagonal form that highlights the vehicle’s lively character. The M Hybrid system combines a gasoline engine with an electric motor, and the vehicle’s massive air intakes and new XM symbol both hint to the engine’s potency.
