Mercedes unveiled the all-new 2023 AMG GLE SUV and AMG GLE Coupe models dubbed “Edition 55” celebrating 55th anniversary of Mercedes-AMG.
Limited to just 55 units the bespoke units features Obsidian Black Metallic or MANUFAKTUR Diamond White Metallic color scheme with contrasting foil, 22” forged AMG wheels. AMG crest and “Edition 55” lettering decorated both sides of the vehicle and matte grey rims. AMG night package provides high-gloss black front splitter, trim strip of the AMG front fascia, exterior mirror housings, window surrounds and trim strip of the AMG rear fascia. Other exclusive external details include heat-insulating dark-tinted glass aft of the B-pillar, two black chrome twin tailpipe trims and unique fuel filler cap in silver chrome with AMG lettering.
Interior of the limited edition vehicle has it’s unique touches with contrasting black-red color scheme, stainless steel door sill trims with red illuminated AMG lettering and AMG floor mats with “Edition 55″ lettering in red. “AMG” and “Edition 55” badges are etched on AMG performance steering wheel and two-tone Classic Red/Black Nappa leather upholstered seats.
AMG GLE 53 and GLE 53 Coupe is powered by 3.0L Inline-6 Turbo with 48-Volt Mild Hybrid System generating 429 hp @ 6,100 rpm and 384 lb-ft @ 1,800 – 5,800 rpm whereas AMG GLE 63 S and GLE 63 S Coupe is equipped with a handcrafted AMG 4.0L V8 Biturbo with 48-Volt Mild Hybrid System producing a whopping 603 hp @ 5,750 – 6,500 rpm and 627 lb-ft @ 2,500 – 4,500 rpm.
