The 2020 versions can be equipped with blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, and high-beam assist.

The Altima has a standard 188 horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that pairs with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). The optional turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder makes 248 horsepower and also uses the CVT.

Fuel economy for the 2.5-liter with front-wheel drive is 28 mpg city, 39 mpg highway and 32 mpg combined, and falls to 27/37/31 in SR and Platinum trim. mileage for the powerful 2.0-liter VC-Turbo is 25/34/29.

Altima features a stiff chassis for exciting handling and control. With responsiveness and tuning dialed in Nissan engineers, Altima was made to impress.

Base Altimas don’t miss much. They get cloth seats, Bluetooth connectivity, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on an 8.0-inch touchscreen, automatic emergency braking, keyless ignition, four USB ports, 16-inch wheels, and remote start.
