It is a dual sports bike, designed by Yamaha for outstanding performance on asphalt as well as off-road. It is named after a region of the Sahara desert that used to be a section of the Paris-Dakar rally. It has been a constant working evolution for Yamaha and a best-seller among big bikes for a long time.

The latest Super Ténéré 1200 is Equipped with a hugely powerful 1199cc twin and a rugged chassis, the Super Ténéré is ready to thrill on the highway and excel on the dirt. The parallel twin uses a unique 270° crank for excellent torque and traction. Engine mass is kept low for great handling. Narrow 2-cylinder inline engine is slim and compact for carving tight lines in twisty mountain roads. It’s almost like having a big-bore thumper without the uncomfortable vibration.

Wide-ratio 6-speed transmission has the right gear, whether on the open highway or off-road. The Super Ténéré ES includes a cruise control system powered by the YCC-T. The rider can easily select or adjust a set speed to ease long-distance touring on the highway.

With four pre-load settings, three damping presets and an additional seven fine-tuning damping adjustments, the Super Ténéré ES suspension can be dialed perfectly to meet the needs of the rider, passenger and the amount of cargo and terrain.
