eSP+ is an updated version of eSP which stands for “enhanced smart power” announced in 2012 generating more power output, thanks to bore and stroke dimension changes, 4-valve mechanism, higher crankshaft rigidity and piston jet mechanism.
Fuel efficiency of eSP+ is further enhanced by featuring technologies like hydraulic cam chain tensioner lifter and double cog belt. eSP+ logo on RC213V livery targets to raise awareness of Honda’s cutting edge technology and innovations.
