Triumph Rocket 3 is a high performance roadster with an imposing muscular presence and style. In a bid to bring exclusivity to this meaner machines Triumph added two limited edition models to the line up. The new Rocket 3 R Black and Rocket 3 GT Triple Black bring extra exclusivity with a new level of meaner, moodier muscle to the Rocket 3 range.
Both models features stunning black color schemes. The Rocket 3 R Black sports a distinctive matt and gloss all-black paint scheme, with black tank badges. The Rocket 3 GT Triple Black features a sophisticated dark style with a distinctive three-shade black paint scheme.
The new Rocket limited edition line-up is powered by the 2,500cc triple engine delivering massive 221 Nm of torque @ 4,000rpm and peak power of 167 PS available from a low 3,500rpm, up to 7,000rpm. Worlds largest production motorcycle engine equipped Rocket 3 has demonstrated 0-100Kmph in just 2.73 seconds. Engine is paired with a six-speed helical-cut gearbox and a ’torque assist’ hydraulic clutch. The engine is fully blacked out with unique black painted exhaust headers, heat shields, end caps and black powered coated intake cover.
Rocket 3 models feature a lightweight aluminium frame and a fully adjustable Showa monoshock RSU with a piggy back reservoir at the rear and upside down Showa 47mm cartridge front forks adjustable for compression and rebound damping at the front. Braking power is by Brembo’s Stylema road going radial monobloc calipers with twin floating discs, which are light weight with optimised air flow for efficient cooling. Both models features Brembo four piston monobloc caliper and 300mm disc at the rear.
Both models are designed to provide cruising comfort. The foot peg position can also be adapted, with adjustable mid-foot controls. Rocket 3 features optimised cornering ABS and traction control, a full-colour TFT and four riding modes – Road, Rain, Sport and Rider. Rocket 3 features full LED lighting including twin LED headlight, LED tail light, indicators and signature LED Daytime Running Lights.
The Limited Edition model’s blacked out components include black painted mudguard mounts, black painted headlight bezels, fly screen finishers, radiator cowls and badging. Black anodized fork lowers, yokes, risers and handlebar clamps, rider footrests, brake and gear pedals, heel guards and pillion footrests and hangers, rear frame forging, RSU rocker, swingarm guard, side stand, brake and clutch levers, and premium black anodised bar-end mirrors with machined detailing. A wide range of accessories are available for user customization such as Triumph Shift Assist, for clutchless up and down gear changes, heated grips and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System.
