In honour of Valentino Rossi’s renowned Motogp career, Yamaha unveiled a one-of-a-kind R1 GYTR VR46 Tribute.

In honour of Rossi’s incredible achievements, Yamaha has created a bespoke R1 to celebrate his nine MotoGP world championships, 115 victories, 235 podiums, and 425 racing starts on the track. The particular livery was developed by Aldo Drudi, Rossi’s longtime helmet designer and friend.

In order to create the unique R1 GYTR VR46, WSBK-derived GYTR components have been used. A new carbon fibre fairing kit and a carbon rear subframe with a 22-liter tank capacity have been developed. The ECU REX 140 Marelli electronics package controls power delivery, while Brembo calipers offer stopping power.

During the One More Lap event at the EICMA 2021, Valentino Rossi was presented the R1 GYTR VR46 Tribute as a tribute to VR46 and his historic heritage.
