The 4th generation Yamaha R125 features an instantly identifiable new look that is directly inspired by the R7, linked TFT instrumentation, and a range of chassis refinements and new electronics, giving every rider a real taste of where R/World can take them.

The new R125’s LED position lights and bi-functioning LED headlight take design cues from the R7. The 125 is transformed into a fierce Supersport by the addition of an aerodynamic front fairing inspired by the R1 and a newly designed vented tank.

The fully faired entry level Supersport from Yamaha is powered by a 124.7cc single cylinder 4-stroke liquid cooled engine churning out 15 hp and 11.5 Nm of peak torque.

Specifications:

  • 124.7cc single cylinder 4-stroke
  • 15 hp, 11.5 Nm
  • 6-speed transmission
  • 41mm Upside Down (USD) Forks
  • Swingarm, (Link type suspension)
  • Disc brakes, dual channel ABS

R125 has a 5″ color TFT display adapted from the one on the range-topping R1, with a choice of ‘Street’ and ‘Track’ themes to match different riding scenarios, as well as Motogp-inspired clip-on handlebars with an R1-style right switch cluster.

R125 users can stay connected and read notifications of incoming calls and text messages on the new 5-inch TFT screen using the free MyRide app, as well as check smartphone battery status and important aspects of the bike via the app. The R125 has a new traction control system. The traction control, in conjunction with the A&S clutch and the optional rapid shift system, provides the R125 rider with a high level of control, particularly during full-throttle acceleration.

All new 2023 Yamaha R125 is available in a choice of Icon Blue and Tech Black color schemes.
