Ford GT LM Edition honours the company’s 2016 Le Mans win.

The 2022 Ford GT LM Edition commemorates America’s lone Le Mans victory in 2016, as well as the historic 1-2-3 podium sweep in 1966.

These special edition supercars are limited to only 20 units and feature carbon fiber body components, a race livery exterior, and a red or blue motif throughout, in homage to the red and blue race livery of the Le Mans-winning No. 68 Ford GT.

The GT LM Edition is outfitted with a twin-turbo EcoBoost engine that produces 660 horsepower and a distinctive dual exhaust that was 3D printed out of titanium. It has a cyclonic design and a titanium GT LM badge above the tips. The interior of the LM Edition includes an engine start button, Ebony passenger seat with accent stitching that matches the color of the driver’s seat, and Alcantara-wrapped carbon fiber seats with a matching red or blue driver’s seat.

Ebony leather and Alcantara are used to cover the instrument panel, and Ebony Alcantara is also used to cover the pillars and headliner. Inside the cabin, matte-finished carbon fiber can be seen on the console, vent registers, and lower A-pillars.

The Ford Performance team tracked down the engine from the 2016 Ford GT (No. 69) race car that finished third, ground the crankshaft into a powder, and created a special bespoke alloy used to 3D print the instrument panel badge for each of the 20 special-edition supercars to make the Ford GT LM Edition a special final tribute.
