Ducati launched the ultimate racetrack machine, the Panigale V4 SP2.

The limited production numbered version of Ducati’s top of the range SuperSport motorcycle is powered by 1,103 cc Desmosedici Stradale engine of MotoGP origin capable of generating 215.5 hp at 13,000 rpm.

The all-new V4 Desmosedici Stradale engine, which features a counter-rotating crankshaft, generates a tremendous amount of torque at low speeds. The V4’s 2022 upgrades boost throttle response and deliver scorching track performance. The new Panigale V4 SP2 is equipped with an aluminum front frame that uses Desmosedici Stradale as a stressed member. The engine is directly attached to the swingarm and seat post made of shell-cast aluminum. The swingarm pivot is positioned to maximize the anti-squat effect, which is the reduction of rear wheel sinking when exiting corners and reopening the throttle, thereby stabilizing the bike during acceleration.

The suspension system features an electronically controlled 125 mm travel Öhlins NPX25 / 30 pressurized fork at the front that uses a pressurized cartridge damping system derived from that of racing forks and Öhlins TTX36 shock absorber at the rear.

The all-new Panigale V4 SP2 is equipped with high-quality 5-split spoke carbon wheels that are 1.4 kg lighter than the Panigale V4 S’s aluminum forged wheels, increasing the motorcycle’s agility. Brembo Stylema R front brake calipers deliver stopping power and are controlled by a Brembo MCS (Multiple Click System) radial pump that allows you to quickly and simply alter the wheelbase in three positions to customize the braking sensation.

The 2022 Panigale V4 SP2 is fitted with a cutting-edge electronics package that includes a 6-axis inertial platform that instantaneously detects the bike’s roll, yaw, and pitch angle. It is responsible for ABS Cornering, Ducati Traction Control (DTC), Ducati Slide Control (DSC), Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC), Ducati Power Launch (DPL), Ducati Quick Shift (DQS), Engine Brake Control (EBC), Ducati Electronic Suspension (DES), and riding modes (Race A, Race B, Sport, Street). SP2 is also equipped with a GPS module, which enables the automatic lap time function and Motogp-derived Track Evo display mode.
